Refrigerators are certainly the &quot;gas guzzlers&quot; of the energy world. I live alone, and often only have a few take out items in my fridge at a time. What I like to do is lower the temp for my fridge (because I&#039;m usually just reheating anyway). I can&#039;t think of very many things I enjoy eating that need to be very very cold other than liquids, but that&#039;s what ice is for!</description>

Our family uses most of these tips, however it&#039;s tough to train my husband to unplug the devices that are normally left plugged in, like the toaster. I will train him one of these days.
