i tried the recipe mayo, olive oil, and egg…GREAT…i also you some of this mixture for a facial..if it’s good for the hair, it does wonders for the complexion.

When it comes to unconventional uses of food, I am very open-minded. My former roommate mentioned that olive oil helped her hair to grow, but she was talking about the hair care product. Well, I’ve always known that olive oil is good for the skin and hair. Instead of using the hair product with all of its additives and chemicals, I decided to use the real thing. When I went grocery shopping, I bought a can of olive oil. I sprayed that olive oil on my hair and scalp everyday. It gave my hair a lusterous look and I truly believe it stimulated my scalp.

Another wayward idea for hair care that goes back to my great-grandmother’s time is the usage of urine and rain water to wash the hair. My mother always told me that my great-grandmother washed her hair with urine and rain water, and she never brushed it. She said combing your hair was the best way to stimulate the scalp and the brush just made your hair shed more. My great-grandmother, who is now deceased, has always had a head full of silky, shiny hair. I’m going to trust that my great-grandmother knew what she was talking about, but I don’t think I will be washing my hair with urine and rain water.

This is a really great top ten list. Olive Oil totally works, I highly recommend it, it’s a cheap alternative to a lot of hair products out there on the market.
