Discount Dental Plan – Alternative To Dental Insurance

Filed under: Expert Tips & Advice, Oral Health, Review

Discount Dental Plan - Alternative Dental InsuranceDental implants are very expensive and may cost from $1000 for a single tooth implant to $30,000 or more for a full set implant. As of now, there are not much dental insurance available due to the high costs of the dental implant itself.

Earlier, when dental implants are not as popular as today, many dental insurance schemes are available but many people find out that minimal help are covered from this schemes mostly for emergencies and necessary maintenance. Check with your insurance provider on additional coverage if you are seeking for dental implant insurance coverage.

Many insurance providers offer dental insurance coverage for implants on a work related contingencies or a coverage due to an accident. Make sure that the terms and conditions are clear and you can confirm this with either your dentist or the insurance provider.

For implant surgeries, proper medical insurance coverage may be the better choice. Consider it like having many tooth implants that is allowed to enable normal eating and chewing capabilities and require medical reconstruction of the jaw.

Discuss with the medical insurance provider and the dentist about the feasibility of this option before seeking out for the dental implant treatment. Except for treatments such as jaw reconstruction due to accidents, normally the assistance will not be offered by medical insurance policies.

It is unlikely that dental insurance schemes on implants are freely available since dental implants are termed as cosmetic procedures. This is when a discount dental plan can help. See your dentist and cut your dental bill by up to 60% with ALL Care Dental Plan

That’s a great tip. I’ll have to take a closer look at this insurance alternative. Is it like Ameriplan?

I think that this is a good idea. There will be more interested people to have this kind of discount dental plan, rather than dental insurance. They will be encourage to have cosmetic dental treatments or restorative treatments. I guess it’ll work out well.

No matter which type of dental payment is best for the patient. The most important thing is that they are able to save from their dental care. It’s good to know that there are ways to help people afford for their oral health maintenance.

There are basically two types of implants. Those that are placed on the jaw bone, but under the gums, and those that fit into the jawbone similar to the root of a natural tooth. Each type offers solid, non–mobile support for replacement teeth which act and feel like natural teeth. Since both types are attached to your jawbone they can provide distinct advantages over traditional methods of replacing missing teeth.
• Implants restore proper chewing function and so you can enjoy foods previously too “Difficult” to eat.
• You feel confident that your replacement teeth won’t move or loosen.
• You regain the closest thing to the look, feel and function of your natural teeth.
• Throw away those sticky adhesives.
• Forget about unsightly partial denture clasps which place damaging pressure on remaining natural teeth.
• Eliminate irritated and painful gums.
• Improve your speech by eliminating or reducing the “Fullness” of full or partial dentures.
• Replace missing teeth with the look and feel of natural teeth without having to “Cut down” healthy teeth.
• Dental implants help stop the progressive bone loss and shrinkage of your jawbone by “Mimicking” the roots of natural teeth.
• Dental implants are clinically proven with a success rate in excess of 90%.

I am glad my company provides insurance for me, so I guess I don’t have to worry about this for now. But in case I got laid off, I am pretty sure this alternative could help.

Thanks,

These costs can really add up and without insurance. Any scheme to help pay costs with a plan are welcome. Just like with house and contents insurance, any medical treatments really need to be covered. Otherwise you might be looking at needing to find large sums of money in a hurry.

At $1000 per tooth, you would definitely want to have insurance, heehee that’s so expensive. Medical/dental treatments like this really should be included in every ones insurance. Mitch.

Dental care is one of the most neglected areas in human health. Unless we face real problems, like pain or any visible problems with the tooth, people tend to neglect it.

Well, dental insurance is structured in a way to make the insurance company money rather than taking care of the insured clients with just exception of few.

But I still like True insurance more than a discount plan at least you will know what you are paying.
