The benefits of Echinacea extraction are found in the roots of the plant. The natives of America used Echinacea for the treatment of a great variety of health problems. Also known as Echinacea Purpurea, this herb is famous for its historic reputation of potentially helping the body fight off colds and infections, and to help stimulate the immune system.

    Good posting. One thing I found out when posting on it in one of my blogs was that it is not good for people with MS. It boosts the immune system which is deadly for them. Otherwise I haven’t picked up any other problems.

  3. Echinecea is a very well known immune sydtem booster. It is a favorite epecially during winter. A lot of my friends take Echinecea always before the flu season starts. It is certainly an alternative medicine we should take seriously.

    I may try Echinacea – I travel a lot and always feel ill after a long flight. Maybe it will stop me from catching the stuff everyone insists on brining on board – I wish people would be more considerate and stay home when ill!

    I’m taking more of an interest in natural rememdies – it seems there is a lot to be said for them.
